A liquid organic fertiliser formulated for all food-producing plants — combining hydrolysed proteins, potassium salts, and an organic boron complex to provide the balanced, clean nutrition that supports vigorous growth, abundant cropping, and healthy plant immunity from seedling to harvest. pH 5.5–7.0. Safe for use on all edible crops. Supplied in a bottle made from ISCC PLUS certified plastic — free from fossil petroleum content.
Dr.Soil Organic Fertiliser for Vegetables is formulated to meet two requirements that vegetable growers care about most: that the fertiliser is genuinely effective at supporting productive growth, and that it is genuinely safe for use on food-producing plants. These requirements are sometimes in tension in conventional fertiliser design — high-performing synthetic fertilisers can leave residues on edible crops, whilst low-impact organic formulations may lack the potency to support the intense demands of vegetable production. This formulation resolves the tension by combining agricultural effectiveness with the chemical safety of entirely organic, fully biodegradable active components.
Hydrolysed proteins at 5% provide the primary nitrogen and amino acid supply. Amino acids are directly absorbed by plant cells without microbial conversion — making nutrition immediately available during the rapid growth phases of vegetable crops — and are fully metabolised in the soil environment without accumulation or residue. The 5% concentration provides meaningful agronomic effect at the 40 ml/L dilution rate whilst remaining well within the safety margins for regular application to food crops.
Potassium salts at 2% supply the potassium that governs fruit quality, sugar accumulation, and the structural integrity of vegetable tissue — the nutritional element most directly responsible for the flavour, colour, and storability of harvested produce. Orthoboric acid compounded with aminoethanol at 5% provides the organic boron complex that is essential for pollen germination and fruit set in all fruiting vegetables, and for cell wall integrity in all vegetable species. Boron deficiency in vegetables manifests as poor fruit set, hollow stems, and brown discolouration of tissue — common and damaging problems that this formulation specifically addresses.
The bottle is produced from plastic certified to the ISCC PLUS standard (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) — an independently audited European certification guaranteeing the plastic is derived from renewable or recycled feedstocks rather than fossil petroleum. No virgin fossil-derived plastic content. Chain-of-custody traceability verified at every production stage.
This formulation is designed for all food-producing plants grown in containers, raised beds, allotment plots, and kitchen gardens: tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, beans, peas, sweetcorn (fruiting vegetables) and lettuces, spinach, kale, chard, rocket, basil, parsley, coriander (leafy crops) and carrots, beetroot, radishes, turnips, parsnips (root vegetables), as well as strawberries, blueberries, and all soft fruit.
Dilute 40 ml of concentrate per 1 litre of water. Mix thoroughly. Apply to moist soil — never to dry roots. Apply as a soil drench to the root zone for all vegetable types, or as a dilute foliar spray for rapid uptake during periods of peak demand (flowering and early fruit development).
| Application | Dilution | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Soil drench (general use) | 40 ml per 1 L water | Every 1–2 weeks throughout the growing season |
| Seedlings and transplants | 20 ml per 1 L water (half strength) | Weekly for the first 2–3 weeks after germination or transplanting |
| Foliar spray (flowering & fruiting) | 40 ml per 1 L water | Every 2 weeks during flowering and early fruit development; apply in morning or evening |
| Container vegetables | 40 ml per 1 L water | Every 7–10 days; container crops leach nutrients faster than open-ground crops and require more frequent application |
Classified as non-hazardous under EU Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP). Non-flammable and non-explosive. Safe for use on all edible crops; all active components are fully biodegradable with no residue accumulation on harvested produce. Store in the original sealed bottle between 5°C and 25°C, away from children. Avoid prolonged skin contact; wash hands after use. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not ingest. Do not allow to enter drains or surface watercourses.
