Dr.Soil Fungi Buster — Natural Antifungal Biostimulant, Ready to Use, 1 L

A ready-to-use biological plant biostimulant that creates a protective film on leaf surfaces from a living community of beneficial microorganisms, plant oils, and glycerine — keeping fungal pathogens at bay and inhibiting their spread without chemicals, without residues, and without any risk of overdose. Effective at every stage of the plant’s growth cycle.

How It Is Formulated

Fungi Buster is formulated around two complementary systems that together create the most robust natural antifungal environment achievable without synthetic fungicides.

The physical carrier system — a blend of vegetable and mineral oils with glycerine — forms the protective film that adheres to the leaf surface and acts as the delivery vehicle for the biological components. The oils create a barrier that is physically inhospitable to fungal spore germination: spores that land on an oil-coated surface cannot anchor, germinate, or penetrate the leaf tissue in the way they do on an unprotected surface. Glycerine stabilises the film and ensures it remains evenly distributed and adherent between applications.

The biological system contains a diverse community of beneficial microorganisms selected specifically for their antifungal and plant-protective properties. Five species of TrichodermaT. hamatum, T. harzianum, T. koningii, T. longibrachiatum, and T. reesei — are among the most thoroughly researched antifungal biocontrol organisms known to science. They colonise the leaf surface and the root zone, actively competing with fungal pathogens for space and nutrients, producing antifungal metabolites, and inducing systemic resistance in the plant itself. Twelve species of Bacillus — including B. subtilis, B. amyloliquefaciens, B. licheniformis, and B. polymyxa — produce a range of natural antifungal lipopeptides (iturin, fengycin, surfactin) that directly inhibit fungal cell wall synthesis. Endomycorrhizae establish a symbiotic relationship with plant roots that dramatically increases the plant’s own resource availability and immune capacity. Azospirillum lipoferum fixes atmospheric nitrogen and produces plant hormones that support vigorous growth and resilience.

All ingredients are of plant, animal, or microbial origin. No synthetic chemicals, no pesticide residues, no GMO organisms.

How It Works

Spraying Fungi Buster creates a protective microenvironment on the leaf surface in three simultaneous ways:

  • Physical barrier — the oil and glycerine film prevents fungal spores from anchoring and germinating on the leaf surface; the most immediate layer of protection, active from the moment of application
  • Biological competitionTrichoderma and Bacillus species colonise the leaf surface and root zone, crowding out fungal pathogens by competing for the space, moisture, and nutrients they need to establish; this competition happens continuously between applications
  • Antifungal metabolite productionBacillus species produce lipopeptides that directly disrupt the cell membranes of fungal pathogens including Botrytis, Fusarium, Pythium, Phytophthora, mildews, and rusts; Trichoderma species produce chitinases that break down fungal cell walls

Because the mechanism is biological and physical rather than chemical, the solution does not attack plant cells in any way — there is no overdose, no phytotoxicity, and no withholding period for edible crops.

Plants and Their Needs

Fungi Buster is designed for all plants susceptible to fungal disease in container and garden growing: houseplants, vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, ornamental flowers, grapevines, and all other cultivated plants. It is particularly valuable for plants under conditions that favour fungal attack.

Conditions That Favour Fungal Disease

  • Warm, humid weather — the primary trigger for powdery mildew, downy mildew, botrytis (grey mould), and rust; regular preventive application through late spring and summer dramatically reduces disease establishment
  • Dense planting and poor air circulation — the still air between crowded plants creates ideal humidity for spore germination; Fungi Buster applied preventively breaks the disease cycle before it begins
  • Post-stress vulnerability — plants weakened by drought, pest damage, or root disturbance are more susceptible to fungal attack; applying Fungi Buster after a stress episode supports recovery whilst providing targeted protection
  • Early symptoms of infection — at the first sign of white powder (mildew), rust-coloured spots, brown patches, or grey mould, regular twice-weekly applications disrupt the infection cycle and prevent spread to healthy tissue

How to Use

Fungi Buster is ready to use directly from the bottle — no dilution required. Shake well before each use. Spray directly onto leaf surfaces, covering both upper and lower leaf surfaces thoroughly. For soil-borne fungi (damping off, root rots), spray periodically around the base of the stem directly onto the soil surface.

Plant type Method Frequency
Houseplants Foliar spray directly onto leaves; also spray around the base of the stem onto the soil surface Periodically throughout the year; increase to twice weekly if symptoms appear
Vegetables, herbs, garden flowers, fruit trees, grapevines Foliar spray directly onto leaves; in summer and winter also spray at the base of the plant around the stem, directly onto the soil Twice weekly (e.g. Monday and Friday) throughout spring and autumn; continue through summer and winter with the addition of soil-base application

Preventive use is always more effective than reactive use. Begin applications before disease symptoms appear, particularly during warm, humid periods. Regular preventive application maintains the protective microbial film continuously and prevents the disease establishment that is difficult to reverse once it is underway.

The 10 ml Single-Dose Format

Fungi Buster is also available in a 10 ml single-dose sachet using the V-Shape packaging system — a precision-engineered format designed for exact, waste-free dosing. Each 10 ml sachet mixes with exactly 1 litre of water to produce a ready-to-spray solution. The V-Shape design ensures complete emptying of the sachet without waste. Ideal for growers who prefer to prepare fresh solution per application, for travel or storage-limited situations, or for gifting and trial use.

Precautions

Fungi Buster is classified as a plant biostimulant (CFP 6A) under EU Regulation (EU) 2019/1009. It is not classified as hazardous. All ingredients are of plant, animal, and microbial origin. Shake well before use. Do not exceed the application dose. Store in original packaging at 5–20°C away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Wash hands after use. Do not consume. Do not allow to enter drains or watercourses.
